Searching the CkForms-Data in the database?

Postby kayut » Sun Jan 24, 2010 6:30 pm

Hi,
First of alle thank you very much for this fantastic joomla extension.

This is my question:

On my website Ckforms saves the form data in to the database.
But if I try to find this data using the search funktion of Joomla, I can't find any of them!

Why? and how can I find a solution so that the search funktion of Joomla can search in the CKforms tables too??

Thanks

Kayut,

I just loaded CKForms myself (I'm trying to do the captcha now), but datatables that I found added were:
jos_ckforms
jos_ckforms_1
jos_ckfields

If you opted to save the data, you can see it via Components| Ck Forms | DisplayData hyperlink for your form.

Thank you for your answer.

I have created an extra menu to the CKforms data to display the data in the front end and it works fine.

But I want to be able to use the Joomla search funktion (in front end) to search and find the data stored in the CKforms tables.
And it dosn't work.

How can I change the Joomla search that it searches also in the CKforms tables?

Kayut,

My guess is that the search function isn't aware of the new tables. The search function itself would need to be told (somewhere) to include the additional dBase info.

You'll probably need to go to a Joomla-programming forum to get an answer to your query.
