Captcha image not displaying

Hi,

I have a problem displaying captcha. I think the server is GD enabled....got this from the phpinfo from the joomla installation. PHP Version is 5.2.9

GD Support enabled
GD Version bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
GIF Read Support enabled
GIF Create Support enabled
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled
XPM Support enabled
XBM Support enabled

I also have all the correct file (644) and folder (755) permissions.

Can anyone please let me know what can be the problem and how do i fix this problem?
