check box alignment and width of text box

Postby denovo521 » Tue Jul 13, 2010 4:55 pm

My checkbox is on the right side of the text??? it should go on the left side of the text - how do i change it?

see: http://joomla.nhym.net/index.php?option ... &Itemid=96

The text box (area) is too large/long - I have tried to enter in the number of characters, but it does not shorten the length of the text box.

see: http://joomla.nhym.net/index.php?option ... &Itemid=79

Please help!

I'm not an expert but I have addressed the fields length issue by displaying the form in a module wrapped in a table. However, there are two solutions that I can think of. The first is the easiest, but it may or may not work.

First Idea: Download the module component (if you haven't already). Publish the module to display on the article, in a "right" position. The form should be the same width as is specified for all modules in the "right" position.

Second Idea: Note: This only works if you have the plugin "Content - Load Module" enabled.

Step one: Download the module component (if you haven't already)
Step two: Publish the module to a non-existent position (e.g. myform)
Step three: Open the document in which you want the form to appear.
Step four: Place your cursor in the document at the line where you want the box to appear. In looking at your website I think you should have a table off to the right of your contact information. To do that, create a 2 row, 2 column table, set alignment to right, and the width to whatever works for you (30%?).
Step five: In the upper right hand cell add this text: {loadposition myform}

Save and check it out. You should see the form size reduced.
