No field validation

Postby mbai » Sun Jun 06, 2010 6:10 am

It's a pleasure working with this form!
But, as others mentioned before, there's a validation problem.

All my fields are required to be filled out. Whenever a visitor leaves the fields empty, but inserts the security code correctly - the form will be send!

This happens when:
- I call the module from inside an article
- I call the plugin from inside an article
- I include the component inside an article

It does not happen when I make a menu item and use the component. But that is however no option for me. I need to call the form from an article.

Any solution to that is very appreciated!
Thanks for reading.

Make a phantom menu entry in a menu not linked anywhere on your site.

Use the Joomla SEO address to link to that menu (i.e. /index.php/myform).

Works like a charm.

sorry for bringing up this topic again,

the workaround solved the problem only on my dev server. Since the site is live and hosted on another server the validation problem reappears. Worse, when I call the component per menu entry the validation doesn't work either.
The host has suPHP installed, I assume that's the cause.

Any known workaround/solution?
Can we expect an update of this component in the near future?

Unfortunately not.
I will need to skip this component. No support from the dev's, but plenty issues in the forum.

Unsupported beta. Not optimal for a live site.
