Input field length

It would be great if one can specify not only the min. max. length of the field input value but also the field length itself. It is no good design of a form if one has a field with a single character to input and a field which is 40 characters long.

I would like this too. I thought I was overlooking something. Only need a short text field box not it going across the page

As long as it is not implemented in CKForms, I use a workaround for this.
After the parameter SIZE cannot be changed by CSS, I created a class which specifies the width of the input field in pixel and assigned it to the field parameter "CSS class for field".

Works really fine.
