Custom errors disappear

I made a form this morning that had Custom errors for all the fields in my form and it was working... but now they all seem to have disappeared. I'm not sure what I did, and now only the default errors are showing, all the custom errors are still there in Joomla, they just don't show up after hitting the submit button anymore... anyone else having or had the same problem?
