conformation/activation email

Hi

I’ve been looking for an online petition for a site I am in the process of building and have tried several different forms and CK forms best suit my needs, however I feel that there is one thing missing.
As I am keeping all the field inputs in a database, I feel that their should be a conformation email sent with a link which will change their data from unpublished to published (Similar to site registration as the petition will be open to the public).
Can you advise if this is possible and if it is, is it likely to be incorporated into CK forms in the future.
If this feature is possible now please accept my apology as I’ve not found it.
