Attachments not working with ftp plugin

I'm not sure if it should be placed here or in "feature request" forum.

I'm using joomla ftp plugin for uploading stuff to my site. Is it not supported with CKForms? I'm asking because on "Advanced" page it gives an error:
(Directory exists - ERROR : directory read only !)

In the installation manual it says that I will not need to give write permissions to apache, if I use ftp plugin. So, is uploading by ftp plugin not supported?
