Duplicating a form resets field names

Hello, when I try duplicating a form I have, it resets all the field names back to a default of "fieldXXXX" instead of keeping the name of the field the same.

If i was only working on 1 or 2 fields this would be no problem, but I have to create hundreds of forms, so I am trying not to have to go into each form and rename every field by hand as that will take a long time.

Any help would be appreciated.
