Field not valid when filling out mandatory form

Hi I have this message when filling out some mandatory fields i Have made:

field not valid (required or bad value).

Can someone please help?

Okay, I solved my own problem but I better post it here as I have seen others in the Joomla forums having the same problem:

I had entered some numbers in the max length and min length boxes and when I took them out everything worked - what are they for anyway???? :?:

Hi,

min length and max length are use to set a minimum number of caracters and a minimum number can be fill in by the end user.
