Changing the type for the column datepicker to data?

Hi,

The type of the column for the datepicker in CKforms table for inserted data is "text".
I need that the type for the datepicker column is "date".
Can I change it in CKForms setup?

If I change the data type for this column in PhpMyAdmin, would my Forms work after that?
