Maximum file upload size(what format?)

I have reread the documentation trying to find it and I can't.

On the maximum size allowed, is this is bytes? Kilobytes? Megabytes.....? Do you just put a number? Or would I type "2MB" <--- doubt that but I just am trying to understand.



I would also assume that if the user goes over the said limit, they will receive and error?
